 Hi  avi

Â   You  get  T8  8000k  tube  in  only  one  size  4ft.  If  its  possible  increase  the  holder  size  to  4ft.  In  T8  you  will  have  better  variety  of  tubes  in  4ft  length.

 Regards

 Hi  Moonwalker,

As  posted  in  the  same  thread  earlier,  seems  7200K  pll  is  available  instead  of  8000k  pll.
 Samson  SU4  36  W.  Cool  Daylight  7200  K
May  be  we  can  try  it  out  @  Ranigunj[sec-bad]

But  we  do  get  Osram  36W  cool  dayight  here.  Havent  checked  the  7200k  yet!
 Good  luck

Phillips  is  any  day  far  ahead  as  a  brand  quality  wise  if  you  can  get  what  you  are  looking  for.

Always  make  provision  to  fit  extra  lights  with  a  switch  you  can  put  off  if  you  find  it  is  not  required.

The  intensity  of  the  lighting  detoriates  and  goes  slowly  down  hill  in  six  months  time.

Here  is  a  pic  of  the  Samson  PLL   I  picked  from  the  Metro  in  Bangalore.

Hi  Tirths,  T5's  are  available  in  all  Kelvin's  as  T8's.  I  used  to  work  for  GE  Lighting  before  and  know  that  they  exist  atleast.  I  have  contacted  a  few  of  the  dealers  as  these  are  not  standard  off  the  shelf  items.  These  dealers  also  stock  Osram  /  Philips,  so  In  am  trying  to  get  hold  if  a  few  and  once  I  get  them  I  will  let  other  know  the  source.

The  Margins  that  Companies  have  on  lighting  in  india  is  atleast  40  to  50%  on  MRP,  so  there  is  a  lot  of  scope  for  reduction.

I  also  did  a  lot  of  read  up  on  the  differences  between  the  capacities  of  T8  and  T5's.  As  far  as  lighting  goes  the  article  that  I  read  says  that  T5's  are  superior  if  not  equal  to  T8's  and  also  result  in  higher  energy  effeciencies.  I  am  trying  to  source  Ballasts,  tubes  and  holders  seperately  so  that  we  can  fit  it  into  any  hood  that  we  have  without  any  issue.
