I have been running the chinese DIY CO2 Kit with baking soda and citric acid from the past few months. Last week the pressure seemed to have dropped completely, I figured the mixture needs to be replaced. i was planning om using vinegar this time so was all set to make a new batch, but as soon as I removed the pipe from the top of the needle valve, to my surprise the gas was still being pumped(I could here a hiss) even though the needle valve was supposedly screwed shut. I fiddled with it for a bit and lots of gas started flowing out. This jump started the mixture even more and within moments the pressure gauge was showing 2kg/cm(after i plugged the tube back in).
This new found vigour however could not be controlled by the needle valve as no matter what I did to the screws, it didnt affect the air flow. Right now Im bubbling at 1bps, which is good but i need it to be able to control it.
Can anyone point me to a needle valve that would fit onto this system? Anything else I can try?
