 Fantastic  tank!

How  often  does  the  tank  needs  trimming,  just  curious  since  there's  no  CO2...

 regards,

Trim  them  once  a  month  just  below  the  water  line,  they  would  have  grown  bit  sideways  at  water  surface,  so  trim  that.   Once  a  year  trim  plants  below  1/2   tank  height  then  provide  DIY  CO2  till  they  grow  back  to  the  top.

Beautiful  tank..  Still  lot  of  empty  places  in  the  front..  You  can  try  some  easy  growing  plants  at  the  front  and  mid  portion.  It  would  look  much  more  attractive..

Had  few  more  plants  earlier,  last  3  years  or  so  aquarium  looks  like  this  and  is  easy  to  maintain.

The  wall  of  rotalas  looks  magnificiant,  reminds  me  of  conifers  on  a  mountain  range.

I  have  big  respect  for  tanks  running  long  term-  its  a  commitment,  kudos  to  you  mate.

I  used  to  have  a  very  stable  lowtech  for  6years  I  believe,  I  regret  ripping  it  down,  I  am  trying  to  recreate  a  similar  tank  since  then.

P.S.  One  little  input  -  Upgrade  the  lights  to  some  LED  setup(we  have  lots  of  options  these  days  ranging  from  simple  LED  battens  to  floodlights  from  the  local  electrical  store  to  high  end  specialized  aquarium  LED  lights),  it  will  be  far  more  efficient  than  a  T5HO  with  intense  penetration(for  the  high  tank).  Rotalas  on  lower  ends  do  look  a  bit  light  deficient.
