In simple words..NO!
Silver dollars are very nipy fish and will give the fins and tails of your gold fish a nice trim! |

Gold fishes will look great in a species tank......
Moreover they are cold water fish and not a good idea to mix them with tropical fishes (silver dollar is tropical) |

Hi,
Dang...thats why all my gold fishes fins and tail is looking like they are rotting up. And i was adding medicines, cleaning tank and what not. Argghhh.
I will remove those fishes today.

Tapan... just have the gold fish alone in your tank.... your tank will look great..... give them good water conditions and varied diet......
You will see them grow healthier quickly.... but if you have more fishes, then you may need to upgrade or give away a few as they grow larger......
Goldfish, IMO are pond fishes except for the mutated ones........ |

Hi,
I like the goldfishes. They were fine earlier when i did'nt had those 2 silver dollars i added on recommendation of so great lfs of ours.

Before getting any fish or setting up a tank, you could get the advise of the experts here... it would save you money, time and above all, successful and happy fish keeping.....  |
