Hello.  I  am  back  in  IAH  after  close  to  ten  years. It  has  changed  a  lot.I  have  changed  in  my  interests  too.It  went  from  keeping  discus,to  breeding  tanganyikan  cichlids, right  through  planted  tanks,to  biotopes,to  marine  tanks(fish  only  to  zooanthide/corallimorph  tanks. Not  full  blown  hard  corals). Then  after  a  hiatus  of  nearly  3  years  from  fish(other  than  the  occasional  pomphret)  I  have  been  keeping  koi.  Serious  japanese  koi.

I  currently  house  one  showa, from  japanese  breeder  momotaro, one  sanke  i  believe  is  from  sakai  line. And  a  yamabuki  ogon,a  mizuho  ogon,a  kujaku,  and  on  GR  benigoi, breeders  unknown.
I  was  keen  on  connecting  with  other  IAHians  enthusiastic  about  keeping  nishikigoi. Please  share  pictures, both  of  pond  and  fish(koi)

Hi!  My  pond  filtration  includes  a  UV  filter. That  helps  in  maintaining  water  clarity. Also,my  pond  water  is  used  for  watering  the  garden, washing  cars, and  washing  the  place  in  general. So  the  pond  ends  up  with  daily  water  changes  of  approximately  10%

I  just  had  a  look  at  the  youtube  link  you  provided.  Smile  very  interesting  setup.  Do  you  ensure  angels  are  paired  with  same  strains,or  they  are  allowed  to  mix'n'match?  you  should  try  with  discus  breeding  too.

most  uv  filters  are  splash  proof.  They  are  designed  for  outdoor  use.
