...feed  goldfish  lots  of  vegetables-semiboiled  palak, boiled  peas, can  even  add  spirulina  tabs  in  the  diet.Feed  carnivorous  foods  with  care...not  too  much. For  better  coloration  expose  the  goldfish  to  sunlight  regularly(if  possible).Rapid  growth  is  best  achieved  with  good  feeding  AND  regular  water  changes(more  the  merrier,as  long  as  the  new  water  is  consistent  with  the  tank  water)
Very Happy  its  difficult  to  get  good  varieties  of  goldfish...dont  know  about  mumbai, but  southern  india  aquarists  does  have  imported  goldfish  time  to  time...pls  enquire.I  have  picked  pretty  good  orandas, ryukins, ranchus  and  pandas  from  S.I  aquarists....good  luck!

P.S.the  above  mentioned  products  from  tetra  are  excellent!works  well. But  expensive  Shocked

As  told  veggie  stuffs  are  recommended  as  goldies  are  basically  barbs.    A  hi  protien  food  like  blood  worms  can  be  used  to  improve  heads  in  orandas  or  others.    A  food  rich  in  beta  carotene  can  bring  out  the  red  pigment.    To  my  knowledge  spirulina  is  used  &  recommended  by  many  gold-fish  hobbyists.    Some  of  my  friends  sprinkle  raw  spirulina  and  allow  natural  spirulina  to  grow  on  the  side  glasses  of  the  tank.    Then  they  scrap  it  off  and  feed  their  gold  fish.
