 hi  kunal,
First  you  will  need  to  find  out  where  this  plant  grows  naturally,  emersed  or  submerged,  what  the  water  parameters  are  so  on  and  so  forth,

Or  the  simpler  way  is  to  put  it  in  a  tank  or  pond  and  just  see  what  happens  to  it  over  a  period  of  time.

But  then  does  not  the  sanjeevini  booty  give  eternal  life,  You  lucky  guy   Very Happy

 Mayur,
got  them  from  Jabalpur.  some  old  lady  was  selling  them  near  the  falls.  she  had  them  inside  a  bottle  of  water.  they  look  like  dark  green  fern  leaves  when  open.  dont  know  about  the  eternal  life  thing.  not  sure  whether  i  want  to  have  an  eternal  life  or  not.  Chuckle

Kunal:  I  tried  them  couple  of  time  in  Bucket,  not  in  my  tank.  But  failed  badly.  You  can  add  them  to  your  tank  also,  as  the  plants  don't  want  any  special  care.  But  I  am  not  sure  about  the  success.

And  don't  go  by  the  looks  of  the  fern  what  the  guys  are  selling.  Cause  they  hand  picked  the  best  grown  stems  and  make  the  bunch  for  display.

Try  this  kunal,  just  a  thought  it  may  work.

Take  an  old  plastic  flower  pot  fill  it  with  a  little  latrite,  top  it  up  with  river  sand,  plant  a  few  stems  and  put  it  into  a  spare  tank  with  moderate  lighting  and  a  normal  dosage  of  fertz.
you  should  have  a  total  transplantation  as  from  the  looks  of  it  the  plant  may  have  been  growing  emersed.

Do  the  same  with  another  few  stems  but  this  time  the  pot  should  be  in  water  and  the  leaves  emersed.

this  will  give  you  an  idea  of  how  the  plant  may  grow  in  the  next  couple  of  days.

If  you  try  this  do  update  the  results,  it  could  be  very  useful.

Even  I  posted  the  same  thing  earlier,  I  guess  no  one  knows  about  this  plant,  thanks  for  the  local  name!  in  my  experience  they  did  not  survive  burried  below  water,  maybe  they  should  be  attached  on  something.
Heres  a  pic  of  the  ones  I  had

 They  look  very  beautiful  though.

the  fern  actually  looks  great,  this  could  be  a  kind  of  a  bog  plant,  growing  it  in  a  continuously  wet  damp  place   could  work  too.

Don't  grow  it  submersed  for  too  long  and  you'll  be  fine.

even  i  had  seen  these  being  sold  in  mahabaleshwar,  i  think  you'll  have  to  probably  tie  this  to  a  wood  piece  or  stone,  however  would  suggest  before  putting  it  into  your  main  tank  try  in  a  seperate  container  for  a  few  weeks   Smile

It  is  not  an  aquatic  plant  which  can  be  used  in  an  planted  aquarium.
It  is  a  fern  more  suited  for  a  vase  with  some  water  at  the  bottom.
This  fern  has  been  cropping  up  for  years  all  over  the  country  fooling  our  planted  aquarists.  Chuckle
