The  CO2  tablets  you  are  using  are  not  doing  any  good.  They  are  worthless.

You  have  too  much  light  and  no  CO2

I  don't  know  what  you  are  dosing,  whatever  it  is  you  are  doing  is  helping  the  algae,  as  your  plants  are  limited  by  low  CO2.

That  means  there  is  no  balance  in  the  requirements  for  the  plants.

Read  up  on  the  forums.  It's  not  enough  to  say  I'll  be  using  CO2  tablets  for  2  months  when  they  are  not  doing  the  job  they  are  supposed  to  do  and  not  expect  algae.

Yes  we  are  here  to  help  you!  But  being  adamant  about  using  CO2  tablets  for  a  few  months  is  a  no  win  situation  for  all  of  us  who  are  trying.

so  u  recommend  me  to  plant  much  more  plants  to  reduce  algae  ??

if  thats  the  case,  i  shall  buy  a  co2  diffuser  asap  ??

any  reason  abt  the  water  color  change  ??  is  it  bcuz  of  the  humus  ??

I  strongly  feel  ,When  you  say  Co2d  diffuser  you  mean  presurrised  Co2  setup.
 Do  you  ?

I  went  through  the  entire  thread  now,

You  have  6  x  40  watt  trulites  over  a  12  inch  width  tank.

You  don't  need  more  than  3.  Remove  3  bulbs.

Your  CO2  tablets  are  snake  oil.  No  more.  Get  a  DIY  CO2  setup  in  place,  upgrade  to  a  pressurised  setup  when  you  can..

 Fe.Humus.  Never  heard  of  it.

I  have  used  Premium  Canadian  Sphagnum  peat  moss  (  1  handful  only)  in  a  30  x  24  x  21  inch  tank.  Now  please  don't  ask  where  to  get  peat  moss  in  India.  It's  not  available.  You  have  to  order  off  Amazon  or  ebay.  Peat  Moss  has  done  good  for  me  in  my  experimental  tank.  It  is  not  necessary  to  add  peat  moss  to  the  substrate.  Don't  confuse  the  peat  moss  which  I  mention  with  "Peat  plates"  etc  that  some  people  are  selling.  All  of  that  is  snake  oil  again.

You  have  added  5  packets  of  Fe  Humus?  How  large  are  the  packets?  Too  much  of  anything  in  a  planted  tank  is  a  disaster.  And  what  the  hell  is  Fe  Humus?

What  is  Cl  laterite  sand?  Looks  like  there  is  no  laterite  added  to  the  substrate.

It  seems  all  along  that  you  have  gone  by  what  some  uninformed  LFS  guys  have  been  advising  you.  We  cannot  solve  the  problems  created  by  the  LFS  guys.  You  have  to  stop  relying  on  their  expertise.  Read  through  the  planted  Aquaria  Forum.  Simple  tried  and  trusted  way  of  setting  up  planted  tanks  are  there  in  many  threads.

Discussions  over  4  +  years  cannot  be  all  repeated  again  in  this  thread.  People  have  replied  with  links  to  good  threads  in  this  discussion.  Read  through  them  and  stick  to  the  advice  given  here.

 Hi,
I  feel  the  fe  humus  stuff  you  added  is  leaching.  humus  is  a  manure  used  in  soils  made  up  of  natural  compost  like  leaves  etc(i  guess  thats  what  i  read  about  humus  when  i  was  in  school)
humus  is  supposed  to  bind  ions  required  by  plants...but  i  have  never  used  bor  heared  any  one  using  humus  in  planted  aquariums.
mind  you  active  humus  decomposes  and  thats  exactly  what  is  happening.
I  feel  after  have  conscences  of  other  senior  members  here,  you  should  have  added  soilrite.  it  contains  Irish  peatmoss  ecpanded  perilite  and  vermiculite.
It  is  correct  to  say  pure  peat  moss  is  impossible  to  find  in  India  and  this  is  the  best  alternative  you  have.
 regards

Read  up  the  Planted  Aquaria  and  related  forumns.  Clear  all  your  doubts  here.
 Draw  up  a  good  plan.

 THEN  Start  afresh!

 Hi,
Every  one  makes  mistakes.  No  one  is  infaulible.
I  agree  with  Madan  ji  that  you  should  draw  up  a  good  plan  first  ie
arrange  laterite  or  red  soil.  laterite  is  better  anyway.
as  suggested  you  can  use  soilrite  .  appropriate  gravel.
then  comes  your  presurized  co2  cylinder,  reactor, macro  and  micro  nutrients  and  lighting.
lighting  would  depend  on  the  kind  of  biotope  you  want  to  keep.
then  comes  the  most  important  thing..The  balnced  aquarium..  this  is  one  one  thing  no  one  can  buy.  you  will  have  it  by  experience.
first  of  fall  plan  everything  in  advance  and  then  step  in.
 regards
