The question is not about fear....any user's reputation should be based on quality of posts,not on what others think of him/her.I dont know what mechanism exists that decides someone's reputation,but i'd not like to judge,neither be judged!

It is just the fear of the unknown .....With no clue on how the rating system works, it simply beats the purpose!
I dont know what is the mechanism working behind it.Senior members * status is understandable(because of their quality contributions) where as junior members who so ever posted only 6-30 post got 2* 5* status because some liberal members are enhancing their(juniors) reputations by giving free points. It reminds me the quota system in admission/jobs practiced by the Politicians.
