 @radjanair

regulators  and  solenoids  come  in  all  kinds  of  prices  depending  on  quality.

For  a  branded  one  you  can  go  for  a  ISTA  regulator  which  has  an  integrated  solenoid  and  needle  valve.

Alternatively  you  can  buy  from  aquabynature-shop.com  which  can  give  you  individual  items  at  good  prices.

Recently  even  I  was  having  the  same  question....  On  inquiry  with  different  hobbyists  and  shops  I  got  ESAB  regulator  and  assembled  it  with  a  solenoid.  Why  I  chose  it  over  an  integrated  solenoid  is  that  the  solenoid  cannot  be  individually  replaced  in  a  integrated  ISTA  regulator.  The  price  also  was  also  lesser  than  Ista  for  the  ESAB  +  solenoid.  ESAB  is  a  US  brand  so  I  believe  the  quality  will  be  better.

radjanair  :  In  your  other  thread  we  had  advised  you  not  to  run  your  CO2  24/7.  What  is  the  point  in  asking  for  help  and  advice  from  people  if  you  are  not  going  to  make  use  of  it  anyway  ?

 Mortis,
Don't  you  think  that  Radjanair  is  trying  to  find  a  Solenoid  so  that  'he  can  switch  off  '  the  CO2  in  the  night  ?!
I  guess  since  he  currently  does  not  have  a  means  to  switch  off  the  CO2  in  the  night,  and  hence  he  is  searching  for  a  solenoid  (  along  with  a  CO2  regulator  ),  which  he  can  control  with  a  timer..............

 @  mortis,
I  don't  want  to  use  the  co2  during  night.  Hence   I  want  to  use  the  double  gauge  regulator  with  solenoid  valve.   I  am  new  to  the  planted  section.
If  possible  please  inform  where  I  can  get  these  things  in  Hyderabad  or  Bangalore.
 thanks
 radjanair

radjanair:  I  wanted  to  say  one  more  thing...  The  safest  regulator  type  is  dual  stage  (Not  dual  guage. You  will  even  get  dual  guage  dual  stage  regulators  also)  regulators  but  they  are  very  expensive

Prabhu  :  There  is  a  knob  on  the  CO2  cylinder  to  turn  in  on  and  off  as  Im  sure  you  know.  A  solenoid  is  just  a  more  CONVENIENT  way  to  turn  it  on/off  which  can  be  set  by  timer.

Firstly  welcome  to  the  forum,  and  thanks  for  updating  your  location.

Which  is  the  best  co2  regulator  with  solenoid  valve?
 Locally-  ESAB
worth  a  budget  &  ISI  -  Weldstar,  both  of  them  dual  guage  and  should  be  around  3K

Solenoid  valve-  Airmax,  works  just  as  any  other,  running  two  years  for  now.  Should  be  500  something  odd

Where  I  can  get  either  in  hyderabad  or  in  bangalore?
I  would  prefer  Hyderabad  for  a  Hyderabadi  Wink  ,  Ranigunj  near  James's  street  MMTS

I  am  having  3kg  co2  cylinder  at  present  using  24/7
Nice  to  know,  and  you're  lucky  to  start  with  cylinder  at  such  early  stage  of  hobby.

 Wish  you  good  luck!

 Sir  ji,
Atleast  spare  me  from  calling  "sir"...  what  ever  be  it  the  reason

Here  is  the  location  you  asked  for,  Agrawal  for  your  dual  stage  and  Darbar(Courtesy  Hamza)  for  your  solenoid.  Bot  would  be  opposite  to  each  other,  its  the  horizontal  lane  you  see  in  the  map.

Thats  not  it,  you  should  be  getting  the  fittings  that'd  fix  them  all  with  tube   that  runs  into  your  tank.
Generally  they  are  helpful,  untill  they  get  busy.

 Hi  Saikumar,

Thanks  for  your  information  for  the  solenoid  valve,  I  got  one  from  Darbar  trading,  Hyderabad.

As  far  as  possible  go  in  for  a  dual  stage  regulator,  there  is  a  difference  between  dual  stage  and  dual  gauge.
A  dual  stage  regulator  has  two  diapharam  for  controlling  flow  of  gas,  and  it  prevents  end  of  cylinder  dump.  In  a  pressurized  cylinder  Co2  exists  in  liquid  form,  when  the  cylinder  approached  the  end  of  filling,  the  pressure  destabilizes  inside  the  cylinder.  At  this  point  a  double  stage  regulator  is  able  to  control  the  rate  of  flow  of  gas.  A  single  stage  regulator  is  often  not  able  to  handle  this,  and  dumps  a  large  amount  of  gas  in  aquarium.  This  results  in  a  massive  drop  in  ph,  as  well  as  co2  poisoning.

A  double  gauge  regulator  has  simply  two  dials,  one  for  measuring  pressure  of  cylinder  ans  other  for  output.  However  it  has  only  one  diapharam  for  controlling  pressure.
ESAB  regulators  are  very  good  but  are  expensive  also,  however  in  long  run  they  are  better.
