 Hi  Everyone

Here  is  the  update  of  my  planted  tank  2.5  months  old.  The  growth  is  good.  Not  trimming  much,  allowing  it  to  grow  wild  as  I  like  that  kind  of  look.

Dosing:  Using  EI.  Macro  -  KH2SO4  and  KNO3.  I  also  have  K2SO4  but  have  never  used.  Can  experts  advise  whether  I  have  to  use  it  also.

 Any  comments  most  welcome.

 Thanks  and  regards

 Mohan

Hmm,.  Agree  with  Sai.The  leaf  structure  makes  me  think  it  is  Hemianthus  micranthemoides.

Check  out  Prem's  link  he  had  a  luxurious  carpet  of  E.  Triandra.

None  the  less,  a  nice  tank.  Thumb Up

 Hi

@  Scorpio:  Thanks  for  your  comments

@  Saikumar.  Thanks  for  your  appreciation.  You  will  not  believe  me  if   I  tell  you  that  I  have  used  only  river  sand  for  my  substrate.  I  am  also  very  much  surprised  with  this  kind  of  growth  of  all  my  plants  with  this  simple  substrate.

 Co2  -   2  bps,  24  hrs  through  a  Azoo  diffuser.

Regarding  my  fore  ground  plant  I  am  confused.  I  bought  it  as  Elatine  Triandra.  As  for  appearance  it  resembles  triandra  as  well  as   Hemianthus  Micranthemoides.  I  will  post  a  closer  picture  ,  please  identify  the  plant  for  me.

Regarding  variety  I  always  wanted  to  use  more  plants  and  thus  I  keep  getting  them  as  I  find  them  in  shops.

 @  Moonwalker,  Kuna

 Thanks  for  your  comments.

 @Sameer

Thanks  for  your  comments.  The  moss  is  growing  ok  even  in  this  hot  weather.

 @  Angel_lover

Thanks.  As  I  have  said  above  confused  with  the  foreground  plant.

BTW  what  about  my  query  given  below.....  Any  answers  from  experts:

Dosing:  Using  EI.  Macro  -  KH2SO4  and  KNO3.  I  also  have  K2SO4  but  have  never  used.  Can  experts  advise  whether  I  have  to  use  it  also.

 Thanks  and  regards

 IMHO  it  is  KH2PO4,  KNO3,  K2SO4.

Potassium  sulphate(K2SO4)  and  Potassium  Nitrate(KNO3)  both  are  used  as  sources  of  potassium.  KNO3  contributes  Nitrates  also.  So  if  you  want  to  keep  Nitrates  down  and  still  have  a  higher   K  go  for  a  combination  of  the  two.

For  ratios  read  up  on  DIY  macros..

 Hi  Rahul

Thanks  for  the  information  and  also  correcting  my  mistake  in  naming  the  macros.  In  fact  it  is  KH2PO4.  Typo  error.

 Thanks  and  regards

 Mohan,  you  are  always  welcome.

I  do  appreciate  the  fact  that  you  would  like  to  maintain  the  wild  look.  But  trimming  will  help  to  promote  that  "Dense  &  Wild  look".  Especially  when  you  are  having  such  amazing  growth.  Trim  and  replant.  Just  my  two  cents.  Smile

How  is  the  growth  rate  of  'syngonanthus  sp  belem'.  looks  good  in  your  tank.

 @  Rahul

Thanks  for  your  suggestion.  Will  plan  to  trim  sometime  this  week.

'syngonanthus  sp  belem'.  is  growing  quite  well  in  my  tank.  I  believe  it  needs  different  water  parameters.
