Bhushan : Are we allowed to post the picture sent to IAPLC? or a different set of pictures of the same tank
|
As per my understanding of the IAPLC rules the picture which you submit to ADA for the competition becomes their property. You cannot publish that picture anymore. But you can definitely post a picture taken five minutes after the competition picture.

This set up was started in the last week of September 2008 after I took down my previous set-up “Boraras Dream”. I used the same ADA Aquasoil for this set up without taking it out of the tank.
I know the rock do not follow the basic iwagumi/rock placement rule. But I added the 4Th stone to the set up as the three rocks where just not anchoring the placement for me.
I could not find all the plants I wanted for this scape from the get go so had to start off with what I could find. This shot was taken just after planting and filling up the tank.
This is how it looked approximately one month from the start.
This scape will change quiet a bit over time.
Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks
Bhushan |

I am really jealous how you use so many species in small tanks successfully.
As Dev said, will wait to see the full plants list. |

Hi Bushan,
The first month picture looks great. Please give us the plant list at this stage and also the dosing regimes that you followed.
Maybe a stage wise detail would help us a lot.
Thanks a lot for taking time and putting these details for us to learn.
Am a fan of yours
Best Regards,
Ravi |

Thanks. The light is a 24" 65W fixture. Yes the fore ground is HC. I am putting in the tank specs soon. Other than the substrate the only ADA products I have used are the fertilizers and additives like Green Gain, Green Bacter and ECA. You are welcome to ask questions. That is why we all are on forums.

Ravi, thanks for all the kind words. I use ADA Brighty Series of ferts and additives mostly due to the convenience of using them. I do not get enough time to mess around with DIY ferts. I dose daily as needed. I start dosing Brighty K (potassium) from day 1 along with Step 1(micros without iron). Step 1 is dosed approximately for first 15-20 days. Once the plants start showing signs of iron deficiency Step 2 (micros with iron) is started along with ECA. I also supplement this with Seachem Iron.N and P are generally not added when Aquasoil is used. If I use plants which need a lot of nutrients like Riccia I dose Brighty lLights which essentially contains N & P.
I am try my best to do a detail stage wise posts for this set up.
