 hey  guys,

i  was  just  wondering,  what  are  the  different  levels  being  recognized  (based  on  number  of  posts)?

 Newbie  -  0  posts
 Junior  Aquarist  -  19(?)  posts
 Senior  Aquarist  -  125  posts

these  i  know  because  i  went  through  these  stages,  but  what  are  the  remaining  levels  and  how  many  posts  are  required  to  achieve  them??

 thanx  in  advance.

There's  nothing  much  to  this,  when  we  initially  started  the  site  we  gave  ourselves  names  or  categories  I  was  Planted  Nut  and  etc.,  etc.,

This  was  the  Administrators  privilage.  It  was  Ok  when  there  were  about  20  members  in  total  who  knew  each  other  closely,  but  as  the  membership  increased,  we  were  in  a  fix  as  we  did  not  know  people.

Someone  who  joined  the  site  along  the  way  wanted  to  be  graded  as  Newbie,  etc.,  the  stages  you  have  been  through.
So  Ravi  did  that  for  a  lark.

I  guess  we  should  allow  people  to  choose  from  a  list  where  they  would  like  to  be  classified  or  how  for  that  matter.  We'll  work  on  this.

At  least  very  common  classifications  such  as
 Cichlidophile
 Planted  Nut
 Biotope  Freak
 Nativian
Discus  Addict  (Nag,  persume  with  this  you'd  change  your  signature  )
 DIYian  etc.,

And/Or  we  can  have  avtars  that  could  match  these  categories.

i  was  just  curious  about  the  different  levels  involved...  but  its  nice  to  actually  earn  a  ranking  rather  than  getting  it  gift  wraped.  it  felt  good  when  i  was  junior  aquarist  instead  of  newbie  and  now  senior  aquarist.  its  not  the  kind  of  feeling,  like  "i  achieved  something  great",  but  more  a  showcase  of  how  involved  you  are  in  the  forum,  and  no  matter  how  dumb  you  are,  you  will  definitely  have  learned  something  while  moving  up  the  ranks....    Smile
